Um, hello. I'm Havoc, also known as Kay or Kcyaa over on NaNoWriMo. Particpated .07 and '08, haven't won yet, but I keep trying, and I'm known as KcyaaDraccis2012 over that way. Currently attempting a WriYr of 150k, 75k worth of a short story series done, thank the gods. It'll be an editing nightmare later I'm sure, but the writing is going well.
I'm a 23 yr old Accouting Major in a sort of college/trade school hybrid. This is my first appearance here at gothnowrimo, as I stumbled across it in a forum on Gaia Online.
I figure I've got quite a few days off in October thanks to strange school scheduling, so I'd make an attempt at this, as generally the stuff I write would fall into a sort of gothic feel. Mostly.
And it's nice to be here. ^_^

Hello I'm Killer Theremin. This is my first time doing Gothnowrimo. I don't really remember where I found this place (it was a while ago), but it was probably from Augnowrimo since that's the only other write-a-novel-in-a-month event I know. I don't really know that much about Gothic literature, but I'm hoping to figure it out before October starts.

Hi everyone!
My name is Lilac and I took an oath in July to write as many first drafts as I could between July 09 and July 10. I stumbled across this site through a mention on script frenzy and thought I would check it out. Seems like a fun challenge. Trying to finish off a novel I started for Julno so this seems like a nice transition into Nanowrimo in November ;D
I don't really stick to one genre. I like to experiement. My first ever attempt at writing was a werewolf story that never got past outlining stages so I think that will be my gothno attempt.
Looking forward to getting to know you all over the next few weeks.

Hiya. I'm Laieanna online or Jennifer in real life. I'm a 34 year old, married, working woman living in Michigan. I love writing but I'm to lazy to do it much of the time so I've pathetically signed up to these writing months almost every month of the year and have yet to spit out more than 15K words in any given month, but that doesn't stop me from still dreaming, thinking, and attempting. November is tough for me cause of decorating for Christmas (I know that's stupid but it's a necessary evil to keep my spirits up, especially when work is such a spirit killer) and vacation in Kentucky. So maybe the month BEFORE November might work for me....might...
I don't exactly have a Gothic novel idea in mind, but I think it fits the Gothic Fantasy. Half the story takes place in Hell after all. That counts for something, doesn't it? I've been pen dry for quite some time, to tired to write. Then a couple months back I obsessively read all the books in the Twilight series, and though I don't find the writing all that fantastic, it stirred my own need to write again. Since then I've been working off and on on my novel idea, planning it for November. Now it's become my Gothnowrimo project. So as always...fingers crossed.

I don't have much of an idea yet either. But a setting in hell... that DOES have to count towards something Gothic LOL
Have a great day Talula

Hello. I'm TJ, I'll turn 52 right before Halloween. I've completed NaNoWriMo for the past 5 years (almost all handwritten last year). I've finished Script Frenzy twice, and I'm doing WriYe this year with a 250k-331k goal. I'm probably around 170k for the year.
I'm new to GothNo and haven't written in that genre. Just thought a Southern setting and some HooDoo and other forms of magick may make for a story idea. Maybe something that backfires. I've attempted a werewolf/vampire "paranormal romance" -- very pathetic plot. And I wrote a comedy short story with "were-monkeys" -- that one was fun. Really no experience with Gothic novel writing genre. I'm going for 30k. Will be a good warm-up for NaNo. October has always been one of my favorite months - birthday, Halloween, and in recent years with NaNo kicking off.

TJ here. Want to add that I am very out of touch with popular culture. I don't have a "real" computer, few computer skills, no DVD player, no cell phone, haven't been to a movie in 9 or 10 years. (living on a very tight budget). ** Bwaaahaahaa - and I live in Silicon Valley. **** Perhaps, that will help where Gothic genre is concerned. I do attend several Sci.Fi./Fantasy conventions a year. And it does feed my writing ideas.

My real name is Eva, but I have called myself other names online...Dillan, then Morrigan for awhile, and Jaqk for the longest time (this actually started off IRL; Jaqk became my actual nickname), and most recently, Alica. I'm not trying to sound dramatic...I just think that people outgrow their names sometimes. I outgrew mine at ten and didn't rename myself until I was 15. Those are my lost years.
Anyway! I'm 19 and new to GothNoWriMo, but not the novel-writing experience. I AM, however, new to the "novel-finishing" experience. Hopefully I can make that happen.
My friend Alyssa (for the life of me, cannot remember her username) brought this site to my attention and we're both participating this year. We're going to keep each other writing!
