I'm reading THE CASTLE OF OTRANTO which is allegedly the original Gothic novel. It's like a fairy tale in some ways. Think Brothers Grimm. It's quite a world to get lost in. I downloaded a copy from Gutenberg, as I mentioned elsewhere on the site. I found this list of Gothic novels worth reading at this link. You might like to check it out: interestingliterature.com/2017/04/10-classic-gothic-novels-everyone-should-read/

How goes the reading of The Castle of Otranto?? It's going rather slowly tbh as the writing is my main game right now. Otranto has the atmosphere of a Grimm's Fairy Tale. Very medieval and other-worldly. I think, when I finish this, I shall read Dracula. Interestingly, I used to live near a house where Bram Stoker, the author, lived in Dublin. I used to see the house from the window of the bus.
