Alright, I gotta ask. Everywhere I look I see Final Fantasy. I take it everyone is a Final Fantasy aficionado? I played in on the different consoles throughout the years and my favorites are still The original Final Fantasy from NES and Final Fantasy 7. Does everyone have all the consoles or was this Final Fantasy lust result from the newer games like FF Online or FF movies?

The first one I played was FFVIII, then I watched a little of FFVII being played.....watched Advent CHildren......and played FFX and FFX-2 (which I actually liked, so what if it had girly stuff?). I also play FFIII on the DS. And now I have an emulator for the computer on which I play FFVI and FFIV! (Wow, too many roman numerals.)
Annnd.....I have a bunch of Uematsu music.
So, recapping with actual numbers
FF3-played on DS FF4-playing on ROM FF6-playing on ROM FF7- watched it played and watched Advent Children FF8-Played on PS FF9- God I wish I played it....my PS2 broke. FF10- Played FF10-2- Played FF11- Ick, no. FF12- Again, PS2 broke.
And yeah, lol. FFX and FFX-2 are my favorites when it comes to cinematography, and FFX has my favorite battle/skill system but FF6 is my favorite storyline.
My friend Ashley has all the consoles though. She's the one who got me into it.

I'm such a poseur when it comes to Final Fantasy... I love the characters and I hate the game. I played one for about a half hour and then quit because I'm too impatient with the battle system... But I still have the movie and still know the storylines for everybody. I just want to fit in! (But not really...)

I started playing VII on my Ps2 (Her name is Castilla, btw. and I just kind of started through the other ones after that. I think the storyline is what really got me, and I liked the battle system because it was easy enough for my tiny little 10 year old brain to wrap itself around. XD VIII was my favorite, VII, and VI come next, and I'm pretty sure XII was the best damn game I played in a really long time, all because they dropped the cheesy romance in favor of an actual plot. Political drama, ftw!

I enjoy a few of the games. I think the craze over the series is rather unwarranted - it's not that good, especially FFVII - but on the other hand, they are pretty good on the whole. I guess. I dunno, I really only play VI (or III, since I play the SNES American release) and XII. Played VIII for a while also. I & II were also pretty fun but I haven't the patience to play through them. I dunno. I can't say I'm much of a fan. I play them. That's it.

LOL, works for me. It's just unusual to see such of concentration all in one place of people who play FF.

Ooh, a chance to pwn everyone here with my otaku-ness. I started out as a baby in my mother's arms while she played her way through the VERY original Final Fantasy on the NES. This was also how I got my start in loving Legend of Zelda, too. Anyway, I watched her play that as a little kid, until Final Fantasy III (later, correctly retitled as FFVI) came out in the US when I was about five years old. My mom had made a habit of reading the script out loud to us when she played her games. I learned to read by following along with her as she read through the plot of the game. Eventually, it became the very first game I ever beat on my own, though I needed my mom's help in order to defeat Kefka. Anyway, then FFVII came out on the Playstation, but my family is seriously hardcore Nintendo and wasn't happy about it. So I could only play VII, VIII, and IX with my friends, therefore I only got a bit of those stories. When X came out in America, I played that with a friend but hated it very much. Compared to IX, which I had adored, X just wasn't as good. And none of it was as good as FFVI (even if VII came pretty close at some points). I didn't even bother with X-2 (sorry, those of you who liked it). I bought, and defeated, FFIII on the DS in a pathetically short amount of time, but I still wasn't impressed. I play XII whenever I get the chance, but so far I like it a lot more than I did X. Then, there's Crystal Chronicles. My friends and I have a joke among us about being the 'Caravanners' when we get together. We enjoyed playing it, but it wasn't that great. Mostly, we enjoyed the angst that came from The Black Knight's story and the Selkies of Rebena Te Ra and Conall Curach. XD Ring of Fates was a great play. I loved the storyline more than the original, but I still felt it could have been a better game. Did manage to make me cry at the very end though, so that's good. I like both Final Fantasy: Spirits Within and Advent Children, but I cannot, for the life of me, stand the animes for some reason. Ugh! I really just love video games, to be honest. I'm the same way about the Tales of... series, Fire Emblem, and Legend of Zelda, too. Though, I agree that a lot of the hype surrounding FF is mostly unwarranted. There are plenty of lovely, amazing games out there that deserve more recognition.

hehehe.. I'd love it if the Wii would put the FF games for NES up for download. I already have Legend of Zelda downloaded. It was one of my favorite games.

I'm guessing that makes me the odd one out, seeing as I've never played any version of it at all. I don't often play any computer games, and we only got an x-box at Christmas this year, which my brother plays on all the time, but I hardly ever go on.

No Final Fantasy for the X-box. You should find someone who can explain FFVII to you/research it yourself and then watch Advent Children. The hotness overload more than makes up for the somewhat confusing plot.
Don't watch the anime. You'll burn your eyes off.

I went to the Anime Expo as Karen and the Harvest Goddess! Only a couple people knew who I was though.....There were only three HM cosplayers, and two were me ^^; Karen was hella easy because I have her hair. (Since the fifth grade >>) Here's the HG outfit, I'm the one of the left. I made it myself. (And the lolita girl's hat!)

So, I played a lot of FFs :] Well, the first FF that I played is FF VII. Then FF VII (and fell in love with Squall. Lol.). Then FF IX. Then, long time since then I didn't play any games since my PS was broken. But few years later my brother bought PS2 and I could play FF X and X-2 I played FF XII but didn't quite love it. Oh, and yes I watched Spirits Within. I watched Advent Children but incompletely, sadly. Til now I don't know the whole story. For now, I have FF Tactics in my PSP but rarely play it. Lol. Hate the small stuffs and characters. I can say that my favorite characters are Rikku (heart her so much! ), Squall, Tidus, and Cloud. The hunks, yes. LMAO. What I love the most about FF is the OST. The instrumental musics are incredible and inspiring :]
