I write you from the sunny shores of Ireland(lolmfao it's not sunny at all and I'm not near the shore). Vacationing. 2,500 words behind, managed to find a computer. Anybody else dug themselves a 1000+ word hole? Let us congregate here and bitch about our wordcounts.

On that note, I'm on the sunny shores of Pittsburgh, the second cloudiest city in the US. Hooray!
And yeah, I'm... 6000 words behind, I believe. I've been meaning to stay up and write for the past several nights, but I'm always too tired by the time I finish my homework (which is usually after midnight >< ). I have good intentions for at least catching up a bit tonight, though.

Meeeeeeeeee! But to tell the truth I never really expected to keep up. I needed a push to get started, and I have, and that's all that matters, since I plan on continuing this story once GothNo is over anyway.

I'm in sunny San Diego (which is part of why I'm not writing-- it's just too pretty outside!) and I'm 5000 behind... but I'm working on it! >.< GANBATE!

I'm in sunny Oregon (isn't that an oxymoron?) and I'm 4,000 words behind. Hopefully I can catch up a bit this weekend.

I'm in stifling hot Ontario, Canada... and I think I'm more than 4,000 words behind. I feel like I'm in some kind of therapy group, lol I think I have to start doing what I did for nanowrimo last year - just start writing crazily and not caring how good it all was! Because it's true - you can edit later. Just go all crazy a** and write and write and write... and have fun, and just... start writing. I think with me it's the starting. But if I actually start writing, even if it's with "so... I have to write now, well... they do stuff" then it's easier to continue. And better words do flow after the first few crappy sentences. But it's not all going to be wonderful at first... I have to remember that. I just have to get the darn story out, and THEN I can worry about fixing it!!! I just have to go all crazy and just start writing crappy gothy story stuff!!! And... not stop!

It does feel like a therapy group, doesn't it? "Hi, my name is Misericorde and I'm 3,000 words behind..."
But I really have to step it up. But why is it that I get a mountain of homework and tests the week GothNo starts? Why?!

Misericorde, I'm with you there. There's just too much to do and not enough hours in the day right now. I just got home from rehersal, and now I'm going to do some homework, and then after that hopefully write. By then, though, it's going to be pretty late. ><

I'm about 500 words behind... But I'm not worried about it. I plan to do 1K a day, and only 20K total, so I'll be fine at the end of the month (hopefully)

Yes, I am so behind it's not funny... as you can tell from my bar thingy... I can't bring myself to figure out the exact number of words I'm behind by, but I'm guess it's in the 4500-5000+ area.
Argh.
How's everyone else doing?

I'm just on time...and it seems I've been ahead for a few days.
~> .<~ I am such an overachiever! I want to be behind like everyone else!
(Seriously. I can't find the motivation to write, and when I'm behind I get more done.)

I find that meeting or being ahead of a goal does more for me than being behind. I hate trying to climb out of a hole.
Currently, my hole is about 4,500 words deep, although I did catch up a bit today.

I've tried reinventing a scene many times. You could (as long as it's new words) count it in the total along with each scene you've done. It's dependent on how many ways a scene can be done, but it's a pretty awesome way to work.
