I totally didn't see this post before I started posting everywhere else. My name is Tony, I live in Ontario Canada. I write on two ends of the spectrum, IMHO, on the one hand I write cheesey, chick-lit-ish, weekend reads, and on the other end, I write dark historical fantasy that most times ends up with romantic het and slashy overtones (which I have been writing longer than the cheesey stuff.) I have a universe worked out for my dark stuff, complete with a pantheon of gods and goddesses (based on Judeo-Christian occult sources, so I am extremely sorry if any of my stuff offends you.)
As a little aside, I prefer the term prolific poster to spammer... most of my posts are on topic, that's how I justify it. ;D
(Edited after rereading the rules, answered my question)

Hey, welcome Tony. The two genres you write in are really different from one another. That must be interesting to work with. Do you prefer one of them over the other?

They are incredibly different. The Chick-Lit is actually co-written with my room mate, we have taken a pen name so that if we go big with our respective main works (my room mate writes really great thrillers) then there won't be a huge confusion for our reader. It's really hard to switch back and forth between the genres, I have to be in the mood to write chick-lit, while the dark fantasy kind of flows more readily, so I guess the dark fantasy is my favorite genre to write if I had to pick between the two. That isn't to say that I don't love my chick-lit characters, the male MC is like me without a brain to mouth filter. ;D

Welcome!! Hey, I'm from Ontario too! Anyway, I totally write a lot of that dark fantasy too, and also light fiction (if that makes sense). You know, not really chick lit but kinda light and fun... I think it helps to breakaway from the dark writing sometimes. Sometimes I get too into the dark writing and get all... darkish, lol. Like in a bad way. So yeah, I find it much easier to write the dark stuff then the other stuff, and it is hard to switch sometimes... but I think maybe the switch is good. Variety is good! But yeah... welcome to the site!!
