I've finally claimed a space as mine to regularly update my gothnowrimo progress. Fates often call me elsewhere toward the end of October in previous years, and I hope that having my own space will call me back when I'm whisked away once more.

Day one was spent gathering notes, writing short fiction, and getting ready for October's musings. Tomorrow, I hope to begin the serial novel I've got planned. 1500 words of flash added to these halls.

Day two: my fingers flew over my keyboard and I wrote a flash fiction about a spider tired of a girl bothering it. Work has kept me hostage, so I've written little else, but 649 words is still something to celebrate in these halls.

Day three: an illness befell me, but I managed to scribble 733 words of dark flash fiction today.

Day four update: illness still grips my family, though I have recovered. I wrote 1072 words of a short story I'm not entirely satisfied with, but I shall edit it more tomorrow. Eventually it will be a piece that reflects my soul.

The fires at work chased me a way for a few days, but I've finally returned to the ashes and have begun to build anew. 50 words yesterday for two microfiction writing prompts, with plans for a short story this weekend.
Though through work, I've outlined 50 pages of two different novels for my writing teams, a long story for another time, but I am now confident to outline my own haunted work I'd been terrified of, and I hope to begin its creation this weekend as well.
