Wordcount goals for 2009!! This is for anyone wanting to grab the 30k wordcount goal for the month of October. This would equal out to 1k a day, which is pretty easy to remember.
Just post saying you'd like this goal, and then I'll add you to the list.

You have just been bitten!! Feel your neck there, or your wrist, or somewhere... there should be a mark. Fresh blood. You are now a vampire ~ the undead. You are nocturnal, and you reside in the shadows of gothnowrimo now... looking to suck the blood from mortals. If you signed up for 30k, you are now a vampire ~ and this is your new coven ~ for you are now on TEAM COFFIN!!

I'm going to try for 30K. It's not as small as 20K, but sounds less scary than 50K. Phew! We'll see how it goes. 1K a day should be doable. Which I repeat to myself...
1K a day is doable. 1K a day is doable. 1K a day is doable. 1K a day is doable.

I'm going to shoot for 30k. 1k a day should be easy enough.

Day one - 1640
SWEET!
More than my 1K a day is doable and almost the average for Nanowrimo. This will come crashing down soon. =)

Yeah... I've just decided to do that snowflake method for my nano outline. Actually, I'm going to go and do a smaller (hopefully smaller) version of that for my gothno novel too, since I am having a tiny bit of problems plot-wise. Ah, atleast I know what I'm writing for nano now! XD but... must think of gothno..... yay gothonwrimo! It's helping me to get back into writing, too. And into the creepy Halloween mood.

Well, I'd originally set 30k as my goal, but I've decided to change it. My total word count is 10,287 and I'm happy with that. I did a dark comedy novelette of about 8k, then I started a short story with a Gothic theme set in the West at the turn of the century (1905). I am setting that aside for now because I feel the need to prep for NaNoWriMo.
This was a great warm-up for NaNoWriMo. I'm doing a strange genre jumping bit this year. I have a brief outline for a Gothic type novel set during modern times with haunts/spirits/family secrets to discover from the Gold Rush era. I may weave that into my NaNo novel.
Thanks for GothNo!
