I’ve been listening to a lot of Cryo Chamber mixes on YouTube this year. This every noise website looks exciting, though! I’m finding there are a lot of awesome genres exist that I’d never heard of, and I like quite a few of them.

I’m finding there are a lot of awesome genres exist that I’d never heard of, and I like quite a few of them. I found a post on the net of tracks to write Gothic fiction too. I might have mentioned I like spooky stuff, but not in-your-face horror. I was amazed with that post because all the tracks mentioned are songs I love. I never would have thought, for example, of the Eurythmics as being particularly Gothic, but right now, that's what works for me. There's a female in my story who is discovering that she was deceived into a sterile and horrible marriage by a man who just wanted to get his hands on her money. I find music by Gemma Hayes and Una Healy really work for me in that zone too.

I found a lot of inspiration in music this time. From the Sisters of Mercy to Rihanna. And Kate Bush.
