Hi there. I, uh, was invited here by a friend... so... here I be. I don't know yet whether or not I'll be able to actively take part in GothNoWriMo, but I shall do my best. Yes indeed. If nothing else I'm here for moral support, I suppose.

Welcome hodudududuh! No worries, it's a couple months till GothNoWriMo gets started anyway. No rush to decide. Meanwhile just sit back and enjoy.

Shhhhhhhh. <__< ::shifty eyes:: The avatar is probably a hint also, seeing as it's the same I use on AIM/YIM these days and it's got a Thom Yorke in it. But yes. Er. It's me. Yes.

Welcome! I've never been to Montreal before, but, uh, I think I'm going on a college visit at some point this year. Does that count?

Welcome! I've never been to Montreal before, but, uh, I think I'm going on a college visit at some point this year. Does that count? Concordia or McGill? I'm a Concordia student this year, and from what I can tell so far it's a wonderful school. My boyfriend did his undergrad studies at McGill (and his masters at a French-language university, that being his mother tongue), and I'm sure he can vouch for that being a nice school also. I'm assuming here that by "college" you mean "university"; feel free to bludgeon me about the head with my wrong-ness should that assumption prove incorrect. xD

Where's Montreal? Is it in Canada? *hides* Yep! It's the biggest city in Québec, the primarily French-speaking province of Canada, and I believe the third largest in the country.

Oh, ok. My geography isn't that good... I still don't know where half of Europe is, but I never got taught that at primary school, because I was in America then, and now I have absolutely no use for the fact that I know where most of the American states are. We won't even go into my misconceptions of where certain cities are in England. (I have now learnt that Birmingham is NOT south of London...)

There are quite a few areas on which the public school system there is surprisingly weak. Painfully so, in fact. The system here seems to suffer from similar problems, but not nearly to the same extent.

Well, it was perfectly fine and logical if you lived in America and planned to go on living there indefinitely, but I really only started learning where places were in Europe when we were learning them in German. I had a double amount of learning to do, since I was learning where the places actually were at the same time as learning their German names...

Habe es fast drei Jahren gelernt, als ich am Hochschule studierte. Haven't used it in ages though so I'm sure there're all kinds of interesting mistakes in there... it's still better than my French, though not for much longer, I think.
